Gym Leadersona

I got more inspired that I thought I would from a uquiz.

    My Ground-type gym team:
    Pokemon Name Nicknames
    Gliscor Zoe Zozo
    Swampert Clarisse n/a
    Gabite ArchAngela Angela
    Yamask Druella Ella, Lala(lalala), Laura
    Excadrill Kerrigreen Kerry
    Whiscash Gloria Glue, gloop

They all have names I just didn't decide yet.

Also I know the badges are Sinnoh ones but pretend this is for a whole new region.

My gym leader's town is next to a mountainous forest that has a giant cave network. It's a regional landmark, pokemon training ground, and camping ground, so my trainer has her hands full managing the gym and answering the occasional rescue call when someone gets lost.

Being such a popular travel spot requires a lot of work and especially, paperwork! Aker leads and manages the gym, and works with the town's mayor, the camping ground's owner, and the landmark park's lead ranger to ensure a safe and awesome experience, and a stable local economy.

The Gym

Her gym is located a bit out from town, located in a building that acts as a simulation of the mountain and caves. It's unique as it acts as a recommended fitness metric for what additional areas of the landmark (mountains/lake/caves, beginner/intermediate/advanced) that people can access, with trainers who obtain her gym badge given free range.

Trainers who make it part way can obtain part-access badges per terrain. The route to the gym leader takes you all over the building, requiring you to climb, swim, and even fly with your pokemon. There are rumors that say some lesser used field moves, like Dive and Flash, can reveal items that Aker hid in the gym to reward situational awareness.* Challengers are encouraged to return to maintain their skills and even try climbing and swimming across the terrain themselves! Only one person has managed to complete the entire gym that way - though the psychic gym leader once flew her way almost completely to the end of the mountain route.

Her gym is honestly not too hard - it's only the 4th gym after all, and despite the offered free range access, they do block off and even hide the most dangerous areas to the public. She only got the 6th badge because she wanted to prove to the psychic gym leader that strength isn't measured by gym order.

The Team

Her team is all-terrain:

ArchAngela the Gabite is the newest addition to her team and is being trained to conduct aerial sweeps with Zoe the Gliscor. She's also training herself to hang glide. A previous partner, a Hippopotas named Aphrodite, retired from the rescue efforts and the gym to join the campground maintenance crew.

I'm not knowledgeable or nerdy enough to decide on their stats or entire movesets - but each pokemon has at least one field move like Fly, Rock Climb, Surf, Strength, and Cut. Aker the trainer gets meme'd on a bit both in-game and by the players for having a relatively weak move pool, but she embraces it and leads by example on how these moves can be utilized.

The Trainer

Unless there's an emergency, she'll be at the gym from Monday to Wednesday, morning to early evening. On Thursdays and Fridays, she trains rescue pokemon, deals with her share of the campground managerial duties, and trains with her pokemon. Her days sound so busy, but if you're close with her, she confesses that not many trainers reach the end of the gym, so some days are practically days off! Of course, she does her best to remain industrious and worthy of being a gym leader.

In her free time, she likes riding the high-speed monorail to go on food tours through the rest of the region, and doing absolutely nothing at home. She often invites friends to join her on them, or at least camp near her own slice of campground for free - she even grows a few pokeberry trees and bushes growing on there to sweeten the deal!

In-Game Synopsis

It's high time that our trainers get to relax while they work, and there's no better a place to do that than right at the 3rd gym! With sprawling clearings, several mountainsides to explore, and even some hot spring caves, the entire town is a sight to behold! Countless trainers young and old, new or veterans, visit the grounds of Mt. Paradise every year for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

In fact, there's a rather large number of visitors this year - workplace retreats, tour buses, the like. This surely has nothing to do with the shady folks we saw skulking around the third gym, and even less with the new Officer Jenny in town. Keep your ears sharp, trainers, the next stage of your adventure is just beginning!
