Synopsis

When she was a young teen, her entire world experienced a mass extinction event. Deindra's panic triggered her fledgling dimension travel powers that transported her to a different universe. When she managed to travel back, it was too late to save anyone, and she barely got out with her life.

She tried to "get back" to her previous world by hopping universes until she found one similar enough with a similar enough version of her so she could kill her other self and take her place.

I'm still torn between deciding hardcore if Deindra has a lengthy and tumultuous healing arc where she gives up on the idea of bonsai-growing a universe to become a clone of her old one, or if she has a lengthy and tumultuous villain arc where she goes complete apeshit and decides to cauterize all possibility of interpersonal relationships forever, becoming a cosmic parasite and hopping universes whenever she's done draining a particular one.
